Joe Fulwood is a Global Engagement and Communications Officer at the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC), where he oversees stakeholder engagement and communications for the Centre’s research initiatives, and contributes to various research projects. Joe has over three years of experience in international cybersecurity research and capacity building, having contributed to CMM deployments in countries around the world. He has experience in strategic policy analysis and communications, and is interested in emerging technology security challenges and their impact on international development and security.
Prior to joining the GCSCC, Joe served as a Research and Project Officer and the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC), a GCSCC Global Constellation Partner. At the OCSC, he played a key role in delivering CMM reviews for Pacific Island nations and helped organise the inaugural Pacific Cyber Capacity Building and Coordination Conference (P4C).
Joe holds a Master of International Relations from the University of Melbourne and a dual bachelor’s degree in Social Science and Arts, with a major in International Development, from the University of Queensland.
