Dr Çağatay Yücel is a Research Associate at the University of Oxford, specialising in malware analysis, reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, cyber threat intelligence, memory analysis, and penetration testing. Prior to this role, he was a Lecturer in Cybersecurity at Bournemouth University (BU) and a Threat Intelligence Analyst with BU-CERT. He received his Ph.D. in 2019 with a thesis titled “Imaging and Evaluating Memory Access for Malware.” He has been actively involved in teaching vulnerability analysis, ethical hacking, and penetration testing. Additionally, he has developed and led exercises, workshops, and events focused on cyber threat intelligence.
