Mongolia Completes CMM Back Brief with the GCSCC and International Partners

In collaboration with the Mongolian Ministry of Electronic Development, Innovation, and Communications, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the British embassy Ulaanbaatar, the GCSCC is pleased to have been invited to present a Back Brief of the core findings from our Mongolia CMM report to the country’s cybersecurity community. This event provided a unique opportunity to help launch the report and support Mongolia in strengthening its cybersecurity ecosystem through the implementation of the CMM's recommendations.

The Back Brief was attended by over 200 representatives included government ministers, foreign dignitaries and members of the media. Sharing the high-level findings of the CMM report to these stakeholders is a powerful way to drive informed future decision-making. This approach not only enhances transparency but also seeks to fosters engagement and create opportunities for meaningful discussions that can refine the national approach to implementing the report.

The collaboration between Mongolia and its international partners in delivering the Back Brief reflects the strong, existing relationships among stakeholders, which were further strengthened through the CMM process. Building on this foundation, these partnerships will remain essential for fostering a safer and more secure global cyberspace in the future

Speaking at the Back Brief, the British Ambassador to Mongolia, Fiona Blyth, emphasised the benefits of the CMM in enhancing a collective security environment:

The CMM Report will enable more targeted and measurable interventions that will not only enhance Mongolia’s security but also enhance our mutual security, helping make the region and the world safer and more stable.

We are incredibly grateful to have been invited to return to Mongolia and look forward to continued collaboration in building a resilient and secure digital future with our international partners.
